Financing Your Education
The Victoria School of Business and Technology Inc. is a Registered private school (#3010) and is able to accommodate several financial assistance options.
Some of the options available include
- EI (Employment Insurance) - we are EI friendly.
- Changes to EI funding have resulted in the federal government "giving" the money to the provinces to administer. BC has placed a cap of $4,000.00 per student which is less than some of our Certificate and Diploma programs. VSBT will extend in house interest free student loans OAC modelled exactly after the government student loans program to all applicants affected by this for any courses exceeding $4,000.00
- Reachback (if you have been on EI within the last 3 years this program may be for you).
- Do you qualify for HRSDC (Human Resources Development Canada) help? You can check here to see if you qualify for HRSDC or EI funding. http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/en/home.shtml
- Are you being retrained by the DND or through another re-training facility?
- VSBT has a long standing relationship with WorkSafe BC. If your particular worker is unfamiliar with VSBT we would be happy to contact them directly for you.
Payment Options
Cheque or Money Order: Made payable to The Victoria School of Business and Technology Inc.
Visa & MasterCard: Visa and MasterCard are accepted for full program payment.
Wire Transfer: Speak with one of our Advisors for banking information.
Student Payment Plan - Administration Fee of $150.00: Students who have made the initial 20% deposit to hold their seat may pay an extra administration fee of $150.00 to make monthly payments for the balance of their tuition. VSBT will extend payments over the length of the program subject to the applicant being approved by Admissions. Post-dated cheques and/or credit card pre-authorization forms are required for this option.
Student Loans: Presently VSBT does not accept government student loans. We do, however, consider extending repayment periods beyond the duration of your course on a case-by-case basis.
In short, wherever possible we do not wish to see anyone deprived of an education because of financial impediments.
